The 1105 Government Information Group, publisher of Federal Computer Week, Government Computer News, and Washington Technology, is pleased to announce a Call for Participation for the 10th Annual Security Conference and Exhibition, to be held November 12-13, 2009 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC. This is your opportunity to recommend current topics, speakers, and case studies for consideration in this recognized annual training event for government and industry security experts.
The Obama administration has placed Cyber Security as a national priority, asserting that the architecture of the nation’s digital infrastructure currently is neither secure nor resilient. A loosely regulated digital infrastructure jeopardizes nations, private enterprises, and individual rights and has already allowed criminals to steal sensitive military information, intellectual property, and hundreds of millions of dollars. The new Administration recognizes our increased dependency on cyber space and is committed to developing the policies, processes, people, and technology necessary to diminish cyber security-related risks. It is not only poised to address the current and future threats but is proving their dedication to protecting this domain through the development of a new national strategy for cyber security and the appointment of a Cyber Czar.
The Security 2009 will address the threats, technologies and new government initiatives in development for our protection. The Security 2009 Program Advisory Board is specifically interested in presentations that align with one of the following topic areas:
